Looking into the crystal, the aragonite grows in branching finger-like forms that reach outward in an open sculptural formation. The surface is covered with a fine, sparkling, fuzzy crystal coating, giving the specimen a soft frosted look while still allowing the blue colour to show through the inner growth.

You can see white aragonite accents along the thicker sections and raised edges, where the crystal becomes more opaque and milky.
