Tangerine Quartz crystals are especially focused on “grounding” the orange ray into the sacral chakra. This provides emotional grounding, and really gives a boost in personal and creative energy! As one can see from the example photos below, Tangerine Quartz comes in many different configurations. Be it a Double Terminated Quartz, Quartz Channel, Alien Quartz or any other permeation, the tangerine aspect of the crystal will better “ground” that configurations attributes into the mind, body and spirit.
Tangerine Quartz projects a very soothing and calming energy. This in part is due to the way they were created – growing up in and being surrounded by the calming influence of water. Naturally these beautiful crystals make for a wonderful elixir crystal – whereupon the Hematite will help ground the extremely high vibration these crystals run at into the physical body. The elixir helps with detoxification of the kidneys and liver. Blood is cleansed and energized, and the red hemoglobin is strengthened and increased – increasing the red blood cell count. Tangerine Quartz elixirs also help one deal with past emotional issues – especially in the area of “letting go” of pent up anger, frustration, resentment, pain and sorrow.

Golden Healer Quartz is a visually striking Quartz variety characterized by a golden to honey-colored layer of iron oxides—most commonly Hematite—present just beneath the surface of the crystal. This internal coating gives Golden Healer its warm, radiant glow and distinguishes it from superficially coated Quartz varieties.
Golden Healer Quartz is often confused with Tangerine Quartz. While the two may appear similar at first glance, the distinction lies in where the color resides. Tangerine Quartz derives its color from surface staining, whereas Golden Healer Quartz contains iron oxide inclusions or layers within the crystal itself.
Major sources of Golden Healer Quartz include Brazil, Arkansas (USA), Madagascar, and select African localities. Each specimen expresses the golden coloration differently, ranging from subtle internal veils to rich, saturated golden layers.
Golden Healer Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system, consistent with all Quartz varieties. Its defining feature is the presence of iron oxide minerals—typically Hematite or limonite—introduced during or shortly after crystal growth.
These iron oxides may form thin internal layers, inclusions, or veils just beneath the crystal surface. Light passing through the Quartz interacts with these layers, producing the characteristic golden hue.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Mineral Species | Quartz (Golden Healer variety) |
| Chemical Formula | SiO₂ with iron oxide inclusions |
| Crystal System | Trigonal |
| Hardness (Mohs Scale) | 7 |
| Luster | Vitreous |
| Transparency | Transparent to translucent |
| Defining Feature | Internal golden iron oxide layers |
The internal placement of color is a key identifier of Golden Healer Quartz and contributes to its depth, warmth, and visual complexity.
⚠️ Handling:
Handle with standard Quartz care. Avoid striking the termination or edges.
🧼 Cleaning:
Water-safe for brief rinsing. Avoid prolonged soaking to protect internal inclusions. Dry thoroughly.
☀️ Light:
Light-stable under normal conditions. Extended intense sunlight is generally safe but not required.
📦 Storage & Display:
Display upright where light can interact with internal layers. Store separately to prevent abrasion.
